SDLP man hails band’s ‘touching’ tribute
Lisburn SDLP councillor Patrick Catney praised the Pride of Ballymacash Flute Band for the respect they showed for Diarmuid Frazer, six, who was killed after being hit by a car.
On Saturday, the band stopped at the accident spot, played a hymn and laid a wreath, while fellow loyalist marchers lowered their standards in respect.

Hide AdCouncillor Catney, who knows the Frazer family, said: “So many people have stopped me and said it was a very welcome tribute. It was very touching and moving.
“You hear of all the bad things [about bands]. We need to know the positives that come out as well.”
